Do you believe in Acupuncture? Donate here to support Legislation for Insurance Coverage.

The North Carolina Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(6) professional organization. Among our purposes is to assist in supporting established statutes, as well as, rules and regulations of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in order to protect the interest of the public, the state, and qualified Licensed Acupuncturists. We also purpose to help make Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine more available to the general public. In order to accomplish this we need your help.

1) Have your acupuncture services covered by private healthcare insurance plans and included in EHB in our federally facilitated state plan of the affordable healthcare act.  This would allow your services to be covered at many private clinics as well as have licensed acupuncturists on staff at hospitals and other healthcare facilities throughout the state.

2) Ensure your acupuncture services are performed by the highest qualified healthcare providers with adequate training in the use of an acupuncture needle to produce a therapeutic effect.  Licensed Acupuncturist have a minimum of 1900 of training. Do you think 54 hours is enough? If not contact you legislator to let them know at

3) Prevent licensed acupuncturists from being discriminated against by insurance companies.

We are reaching out to our patients in order to introduce legislation to ensure all citizens of North Carolina have access to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

It is costly to introduce legislation. With your financial donation, together we can make these goals a reality. Our patients are our best advocates. Thank you for your support! Click on this link to donate
